The selection of free Prime Gaming games in October 2026 combines action, horror, strategy, management, platforming and indie adventures. The two new gifts this month are DOOM (2016), available via a GOG code, and Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit, which can be claimed through the Epic Games Store. The remaining titles come from previous promotions and can still be added to your library throughout October.
Remember that PC games you successfully claim remain associated with the corresponding platform account, so you can continue playing them even if you later cancel Amazon Prime. This is different from games available through Amazon Luna’s cloud gaming catalogue, which work under a different system.
If you already have an active subscription, you simply need to add them to your library and that’s it. And if you don’t, or you need to renew or add funds, you can do it through VidaPlayer.
Let’s take a look at some of the most notable games you can claim this month.
Best free Prime Gaming games this month in October
Among the games currently available, several stand out for offering very different experiences. From fast-paced shooters to horror, strategy and puzzle adventures, October offers a wide range of genres to expand your PC library.
DOOM (2016)
One of the biggest names coming to Prime Gaming in October. DOOM (2016) brought the essence of the classic id Software shooter back with a formula focused on speed, constant movement and brutal combat against hordes of demons.
The campaign takes players to the facilities of the Union Aerospace Corporation on Mars, where the protagonist must fight through hordes of demons using weapons, upgrades and melee attacks. The game encourages an aggressive combat style in which staying on the move is essential.
In addition to the campaign, it includes multiplayer options and SnapMap, a tool that allows players to create and share different maps and experiences.
The game can be claimed using a GOG code and will be available until November 4, 2026.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit brings the well-known horror franchise to an adventure featuring pixel art, exploration, puzzles and tense chase sequences. This time, players take control of Oswald, a young man who discovers a mysterious ball pit in an old pizzeria and ends up travelling into the past.
The adventure revolves around surviving five nights while exploring different environments, collecting clues and solving puzzles. Enemies can appear at any moment, so you will need to move carefully and make use of your surroundings to escape.
The game combines investigation, exploration and horror with a retro aesthetic that fits particularly well with the Five Nights at Freddy’s universe.
It can be claimed through the Epic Games Store until November 4, 2026.
DOOM Eternal
DOOM Eternal continues the formula established by the 2016 reboot and takes its focus on speed and aggressive combat even further. As the DOOM Slayer, you will face armies of demons while exploring different environments and using an increasingly powerful arsenal.
Its combat system requires you to constantly switch between weapons, melee attacks, executions and different abilities to maintain the resources needed to keep progressing.
It also expands the variety of enemies and environments compared with its predecessor, offering a campaign heavily focused on action and frenetic pacing.
The game can be claimed through the Microsoft Store until October 21, 2026.
High on Life
High on Life brings a dose of absurd humour and science fiction to the catalogue. This first-person shooter follows a young man who becomes a bounty hunter after an alien cartel invades Earth.
One of its main trademarks is its talking weapons, each with its own personality and abilities. As you progress, you can obtain new Gatlians that expand your options during combat and exploration.
The adventure combines different planets, enemies, upgrades and a humour-filled narrative, with a style that is quite different from traditional shooters.
You can claim it through the Epic Games Store until October 28, 2026.
Botany Manor
Botany Manor completely changes the pace with an exploration and puzzle adventure set in an elegant Victorian mansion. Players must investigate the different rooms, find clues and discover how to grow extraordinary plants.
The protagonist is Arabella Greene, a retired botanist who has assembled a collection of forgotten plants. To make them grow, you will need to study documents, experiment with different elements and discover the conditions required for each species.
Its relaxed pace, atmosphere and investigation-focused gameplay make it a very different experience from the shooters that are also part of the selection.
It is available through the Epic Games Store until October 14, 2026.
War Hospital
War Hospital offers a strategy and management experience set during World War I. Instead of commanding an army, you must run a field hospital and decide how to use constantly limited resources.
Managing doctors, nurses, supplies and patients is essential to keeping the hospital operational. The decisions you make can also have consequences for the soldiers arriving from the front.
Its combination of management and narrative provides a much slower-paced experience than the shooters in the selection, with particular attention paid to keeping the hospital running and making difficult decisions.
You can claim it through the Epic Games Store until October 7, 2026, making it one of the titles worth adding to your library as soon as possible.
